Quilt: A King's Ransom

Description:

It is called A King's Ransom because I imagine it as chests of jewelry destined to pay a ransom to a

King. You might make it out of Americana fabrics and call it America's Treasure.

Whatever you call it, it is a striking quilt! easy to make with 4 patches and flying geese blocks.

Skill Level:  All Skill Levels

Skill, Technique, or Method:   Flying Geese techniques and excellent piecing

Pattern Fee:  $10

Fabric Requirements:

My quilt is totally scrappy except for the use of a single background fabric.

You can work with scraps, charm packs, fat quarters or yardage.

You will want to start with a yard or two of a background that, if needed, you can replenish. It all depends on what size quilt you decide to make.

The Folded Corner Clipper ruler by Creative Grids. (This is NOT required, but it is an easy way I like to make flying geese. You can surely use the drawn pencil line if you want, and it works perfectly.)

Finished project size:   60" x 60"

(This class is in our “Villa” building, just West of the parking area – enter through rear.)
